While the brand is relatively new to Australia, Skoda has shown that we’re already making an impact with customers. In the latest Roy Morgan survey, Skoda rated a fantastic 97.5 percent satisfaction score among customers. This is well above the industry average in the Roy Morgan metrics of 92.6 percent. This is based on the responses from 50,000 customers who were surveyed between April 2017 and the following April. This is sure to make all Skoda dealers extremely proud, and we’ll explore why we’re so happy a little more here.
The Overall Survey
The Roy Morgan survey is an annual event, and it is a measure of how satisfied customers are with their new vehicle purchase. Roy Morgan is the largest independent research company in Australia and is well regarded around the world. The company has been measuring customer satisfaction for years and takes pride in working with clients to help better understand customers needs, wants, and expectations. Roy Morgan collects ratings for customer satisfaction surveys in Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand and this data is used to determine the annual winners of the Customer Satisfaction Awards.
While general satisfaction throughout the car industry is up, it is by only 0.2 percent. This means that the Skoda result is certainly something for all Skoda car dealers to highlight.
What Skoda HQ Has to Say
Obviously, Skoda HQ is also very happy with the survey results. Skoda Australia director, Michael Irmer stated that while anecdotally they are aware that customers love the Skoda product range including the innovative “Simply Clever” suite of features, it is “extremely pleasing” to have this satisfaction confirmed in the Roy Morgan independent industry wide survey.
Going From Strength to Strength
While the survey results are good news, it represents a solid foundation for Skoda to go from strength to strength. The Skoda range has grown recently to include the new Karoq to stand with the Kodiaq, Octavia, Fabia, and Superb, and this has lead to record sales with double digit growth on last year’s figures. There are also updated models that are either in the pipeline or have been released since April, so Skoda may score even higher in next year’s survey.
